About Matt
Dr. Matt Matera (he/him) is the founder of Central Valley Education Pathways, an organization that helps educators, students, and institutions create paths to, through, and beyond education. Matt is a long-time educator, organizer, activist and scholar committed to fighting for social justice and dismantling white supremacy. Matt has worked in different community colleges, universities, and nonprofit organizations for 20+ years developing affordable pathways to and through higher education systems, especially for undocumented students. Matt specializes in addressing the injustices that exist at the intersection of education and immigration.
